Optimists are engaged in a variety of community events - a sampling appears below!

Kite Fly-in

On the First Sunday in May, the club invites the Oregon and Brooklyn communities to come fly a kite at Anderson Farm County Park. People of all ages come to enjoy the fresh air, beauty, and friendship.

National Night Out and Safety Day

The Police and Fire departments in Oregon and Brooklyn hold a national night out each August. Our club attends both, providing free fun and games for all. In the Spring, the Oregon Police and Fire Departments host a safety day that we also attend.

Oregon Summerfest

The club enters a float in the parade and hosts a family friendly bingo tent during Oregon's Summerfest in June.
